According to climate researchers, climate change means that the weather we are used to is changing. In some places, there will be less precipitation such as rain and snow, while other places will experience more precipitation.   Climate change also increases the risk of several types of extreme weather occurring at the same time. This could mean that extreme weather becomes even more extreme. Wind, drought and heat would, for example, increase the risk of forest fires.

Climate change leads to more extreme weather. 

Climate change means that areas where it usually rains a lot become even wetter and areas where it is usually dry become even drier.

Climate change harms all countries. Flooding due to climate change is increasingly experienced in Western Norway, for example. However, rich countries are better equipped to protect themselves against climate change than poorer countries. You could therefore say that climate change is unfair.

Felling or burning of forests affects animals and plants. Animals lose their homes and the food they eat also vanishes. Greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere when trees are felled as trees and plants store greenhouse gases in their trunks and leaves.
